COMMUNITY CANDIDATE

DEFINING A COMMUNITY CANDIDATE
Leaders of many sorts have dominated the political scene of the past. However, a new breed of leaders is needed to create essential change. I believe that community leaders raised from within their communities will make the best leaders to effect change.

A community leader prioritises the people, and is committed to the People’s agenda. Whether it is problem solving or  advocacy, the community leader is one who is sincere, passionate and has pure intent in performing his responsibilities.

The community leader is one of you, a local person from within the community, who shares the community’s concerns, and is affected by the daily struggles and problems that are faced by them.

The community leader is not swayed by political power nor self-interest. He remains focused on the job, without compromising his or her values and integrity.

THE COMMUNITY CANDIDATE'S CODE OF CONDUCT

  • To be committed to the people's interest and cause.
  • To toe the people's line.
  • To remain true to the cause of a community candidate in putting the people first.
  • To advocate the centrist approach.
